R&M Appoints Laurent Amestoy as the New Chief Sales Officer

R&M has appointed Laurent Amestoy, long-standing Managing Director of the Asia Pacific region, as Chief Sales Officer (CSO). He will be responsible for the R&M Group’s global sales activities. “With the appointment of Laurent Amestoy, we are placing sales and sales management in proven hands,” says R&M CEO, Dr. Roger Baumann.

Laurent Amestoy has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications sector. He studied thermodynamics, marketing, and finance. Born in France, he joined the R&M Group in 2000. Initially, he headed the R&M sales subsidiary in the Middle East (META), based in Dubai. In 2008, he became Executive Vice President, responsible for R&M sales in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, based in Singapore. Since then, R&M has more than doubled its sales in this region. The APAC region is now the third-largest sales region for the R&M Group.

Since joining R&M in April 2025, Roger Baumann has consistently developed the company’s market and growth strategy. To this end, he brought Laurent Amestoy on board on an interim basis at the end of June. By adding the CSO position to its Executive Board, R&M aims to professionalize its global market development and leverage synergies more effectively. In doing so, R&M intends to address current technology trends and significant global economic developments. The strategy of regional customer proximity will remain in place and is to be intensified. It is based on subsidiaries and branches in more than 40 countries and ensures the presence of experts on site.
