Qualcomm Unleashes the Power of AI and 5G at GITEX Global 2025

Qualcomm Technologies is putting the spotlight on how AI and 5G are transforming businesses and industries across the Middle East at GITEX Global.

Qualcomm Technologies is joining e& UAE and Honeywell on their booths to showcase AI and 5G solutions based on multiple Qualcomm Dragonwing platforms, to demonstrate the impact of Industrial Gateways in a wide range of sectors including energy, industry, public safety, government, transport, smart cities and more. Qualcomm’s solution for Industrial AI Gateways delivers AI to the edge, with secure connectivity including 5G, opening up new use cases and capabilities, many of which are already being rolled out by customers in the UAE.

The demos at GITEX Global include Qualcomm Technologies solutions developed for partners with functions such real-time industrial asset monitoring, predictive maintenance and worker safety. Also, on the show floor are demonstrations of smart bike solutions that will enable real time safety and rider behavior monitoring, AI-enabled smart glasses for cybersecurity, security and maintenance purposes and drones-as-a-service.

Many of the Dragonwing innovations on show at GITEX are being developed with Qualcomm’s Engineering Center in Abu Dhabi, underlining the company’s strategic commitment to local R&D and the region’s national technology agenda. The Center is a regional hub dedicated to advancing industrial IoT and AI-enabled solutions for Middle East enterprises and government customers.

Qualcomm is also showcasing hybrid AI capabilities running on compute devices powered by Snapdragon X Elite, a powerful combination that will make AI-enabled applications available without internet connectivity.

Wassim Chourbaji, President & SVP Qualcomm MEA, said: “Qualcomm Technologies is very excited by the tremendous potential we see in the Middle East as a hub for AI and industrial IoT innovation. Together with partners like e& UAE and Honeywell, we’re exploring new opportunities that will help drive digital transformation across industries — from energy and manufacturing to cities and transport. We’re very proud to collaborate with local innovators and to expand our R&D footprint, which reflects Qualcomm’s long-term commitment to advancing intelligent connectivity and industrial AI in this dynamic region.”

Qualcomm will be participating at GITEX Global with e& UAE in Hall 22, H22-A10, H22-A20, and H22-18 and with Honeywell in Hall 5, Stand No- H5-A20.
