Informatica Launches Autonomous Data Management Agents to Close Enterprise AI Governance Gap

Informatica from Salesforce has announced a comprehensive platform update designed to help enterprises operationalize AI at scale through autonomous, governed, and AI-ready data management. The announcement comes as enterprises accelerate AI adoption but continue to face challenges around fragmented data environments and governance frameworks that are not evolving at the same pace.

According to a 2026 CDO survey, 76% of data leaders acknowledge governance has not kept pace with AI adoption, while 61% report that higher-quality data is essential to move AI pilots into production. To address this, the updated platform introduces headless data management that exposes governed data services to any AI agent via native Model Context Protocol (MCP) support, autonomous data management agents that automate real-time data quality and enrichment, and a unified agent and context catalog that brings data assets and AI agents into a single governance framework.

“The Middle East is at an inflection point as enterprises are moving fast on AI adoption, but many are constrained by legacy data infrastructure and governance gaps,” said Yasser Shawky, Vice President – EMEA South at Informatica from Salesforce. “This update gives regional organizations the tools to modernize their data foundation and activate AI confidently, without the manual overhead that has slowed deployment elsewhere.”

The platform now enables enterprises to invoke data operations directly from LLMs, IDEs, and business tools including Claude, Slackbot, and Cursor, without rebuilding existing infrastructure. CLAIRE, Informatica’s AI intelligence layer, operates as a fully headless service, delivering governed data, quality checks, integration, and master data management capabilities across Salesforce, AWS, Microsoft, Databricks, Snowflake, and on-premises environments.

Informatica has expanded its integration and business context capabilities. The Data 360 Connector and Scanner enables real-time, bidirectional data flow between enterprise systems and Salesforce Data 360 with complete end-to-end lineage. MDM Integration with Data 360 combines authoritative master data for products, accounts, finance, and suppliers to power accurate AI agents for CRM and business applications. CLAIRE in Slack allows sales, marketing, analytics, and customer service teams to invoke data discovery, governance, and integration capabilities directly within their workflows.

Informatica Agentic Integration facilitates real-time structured and unstructured data flow across the enterprise, ensuring AI agents operate on complete business context. The Data Quality Agent enables business users to define quality rules in natural language, automatically generating production-ready logic without engineering support. The Metadata Enrichment Agent generates business descriptions and sensitivity labels as data flows, making every asset AI-ready at scale.

The platform introduces Agentic Multidomain MDM, which enables autonomous data stewardship where agents continuously cleanse, enrich, and match master data in real time. The Data Steward Agent automates record matching and quality resolution, replacing manual MDM processes.

Informatica has also published governance and catalog capabilities as MCPs through Agent Fabric Context Catalog, creating a unified destination to discover, govern, and operate both data assets and AI agents. Enterprises can see full lineage at the point of integration, including vetted agents, data assets, and governance policies.

“What Informatica from Salesforce is unveiling is a new model for enterprise data — one where agents handle the heavy lifting of data management so your teams can focus on what only humans can do. The result is a data foundation that is always current, governed, and ready to be activated across every surface, every agent, and every workflow — because the best outcomes happen when humans, agents, and headless platforms work in concert with the same foundation of trust.,” said Rahul Auradkar, President & GM, Data Foundation, Salesforce.

Availability
Headless Data Management, Data Quality Agent, Data 360 Connector and Scanner, and Agent Fabric Context Catalog are generally available as of Spring 2026. Agentic Integration, Metadata Enrichment Agent, and Agentic Multidomain MDM are scheduled for Q4 2026. MDM Integration with Data 360 launches Q3 2026. CLAIRE in Slack is in preview now, with general availability in Q4 2026.
