Instagram globally rolls out Replace Audio

Today, Instagram is globally rolling out Replace Audio, allowing users to change the music on published feed posts and carousels without deleting and re-uploading them — all the while, preserving all of their existing likes, comments, and reach.

Until now, updating the music on an existing post meant deleting it and starting over. Replace Audio makes it easy for creators to keep their content current without sacrificing the engagement they’ve already earned — whether that means updating a post with a newly trending song, supporting an artist’s latest release, or just refreshing seasonal content.

The feature is another step in Instagram’s continued effort to build tools that give creators more creative freedom and flexibility to evolve their content, even long after it’s been published.
