Veeam recognized as Champion by Omdia

Veeam Software announced it has been named a Champion – the highest category awarded – in the latest Omdia Global Managed Backup and Disaster Recovery (BDR) Leadership Matrix. The Omdia Leadership Matrix evaluates vendors that play an integral role in driving backup and disaster recovery (BDR) success across the managed service provider (MSP) ecosystem. The report assessed 15 BDR vendors across three primary categories: analyst assessment, ecosystem feedback and performance metrics.

According to the report, among all vendors evaluated, Veeam earned the strongest Leadership positioning in the matrix and was recognized for the strength of its MSP ecosystem, including more than 12,000 MSP partners in the Veeam Cloud & Service Provider (VCSP) program, and a portfolio that continues to expand through organic innovation and targeted acquisitions, including its most recent acquisition of Securiti AI.

“Being named a Champion by Omdia validates Veeam’s leadership in helping MSPs deliver trusted data resilience at scale,” said Michelle Graff, SVP of Global Partnerships at Veeam. “With more than 12,000 MSP partners and continued investment across our platform, partner programs and roadmap, Veeam is committed to helping service providers protect customer data, recover quickly from disruption and build new growth opportunities in the agentic AI era.”

Omdia’s Champion category recognizes vendors with strong performance across the assessed areas, including partner strategy, execution, portfolio competitiveness, ecosystem feedback and performance metrics. Vendors considered for the report met defined inclusion thresholds, including minimum BDR revenue, technology criteria, dedicated MSP go-to-market motion and significant channel-driven business.

The report also highlights the continued evolution of Veeam solutions, including Veeam Data Platform v13and Veeam’s acquisition of Securiti AI, which extends Veeam’s capabilities beyond backup and recovery into data security posture management (DSPM), privacy governance and AI trust. Together, these innovations equip customers and MSP partners to address a broader set of data risk challenges — from resilience and recovery to security, governance and trusted AI — through an integrated platform approach.

With more than 550,000 customers worldwide, Veeam continues to help organizations ensure their data is protected, recoverable and trusted, enabling them to accelerate innovation and safely adopt AI at scale.
