Hanwha Vision Introduces Q AI 5MP Fixed Cameras

Hanwha Vision introduces its latest innovation in the Q series lineup: the Q AI 5MP Fixed Cameras. Designed to meet the growing demands of modern surveillance, these cameras introduce advanced AI-driven capabilities that enhance forensic search, improve operational efficiency, and ensure privacy protection—all while seamlessly integrating into existing security ecosystems.

The new cameras feature BestShot technology, which intelligently captures and crops the highest-quality images of classified objects like people and vehicles. This capability is paired with detailed metadata generation, enabling rapid forensic searches. Operators can now locate objects of interest by attributes such as clothing or vehicle colors, significantly reducing investigation times in complex scenes.

With advanced object classification, users can apply color filters to streamline searches further. For example, identifying a “yellow vehicle” to find a taxi or searching for a person based on their clothing color is now faster and more precise, simplifying investigations even in crowded environments.

Dynamic Privacy Masking (DPM) addresses the critical need for real-time privacy protection. This feature automatically overlays a mosaic mask on moving people and vehicles during live monitoring, safeguarding privacy while preserving unaltered video for forensic review.

Initially exclusive to the Q AI 5MP Fixed Cameras, these features will become available for existing Q AI models through firmware updates in 2025, ensuring continuous innovation across the product lineup.

Key features of the Hanwha Vision Q AI 5MP Fixed Cameras include:

  • BestShot technology: Captures the highest-quality images of classified objects
  • Advanced object classification: Eight distinct color filters
  • Dynamic Privacy Masking: Protects privacy during live monitoring
  • AI-based analytics: Line crossing, loitering detection, and more
  • Advanced noise reduction (WiseNRII): Optimized image clarity
  • Improved bandwidth efficiency (WiseStreamIII): Reduces usage by up to 80%
  • Enhanced durability: IP66/IK10 rating for impact and environmental protection
