Gen AI startup Newera.ai raises $2.1 million

Saudi Arabia–based generative AI startup Newera.ai has raised $2.1 million (SAR 8 million) in a pre‑seed funding round to accelerate the deployment of enterprise‑grade AI solutions across the Kingdom. The round was led by Embark, with participation from several angel investors.

Founded in 2023 by Abdulrhman Alsuliman, Newera.ai develops agentic and generative AI systems designed to help enterprises convert complex operational challenges into production‑ready solutions. The company’s platform focuses on enabling organisations to adopt AI rapidly while maintaining data localisation and compliance — priorities that align with Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation agenda under Vision 2030.

According to the company, the new capital will support local expansion, research and development, and product enhancement tailored specifically to Saudi enterprises. The funding also positions Newera.ai to deepen its presence in high‑demand sectors such as finance, logistics, and enterprise operations, where automation and AI‑driven optimisation are becoming increasingly critical.

Industry analysts note that the investment comes at a time when AI funding in the MENA region is experiencing unprecedented growth. AI startups across the region secured more than $2.1 billion in the first half of 2025, marking a 134% year‑on‑year increase and signalling the region’s emergence as a global AI innovation hub. Against this backdrop, Newera.ai’s early‑stage raise underscores investor confidence in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding enterprise AI market.

The startup’s technology aims to streamline enterprise workflows by automating decision‑making, enhancing productivity, and enabling organisations to deploy AI solutions without extensive technical overhead. Its agentic AI models are built to handle tasks such as data processing, customer engagement, and operational optimisation — capabilities that are increasingly in demand as Saudi companies accelerate digital adoption.

Newera.ai’s leadership said the funding will also support the development of strategic partnerships across the Kingdom, helping organisations integrate AI more effectively into their operations. With enterprises prioritising efficiency, localisation, and secure AI deployment, the company expects strong demand for its solutions in the coming year.

As Saudi Arabia continues to position itself as a regional AI powerhouse, Newera.ai’s pre‑seed round marks another milestone in the Kingdom’s fast‑growing innovation ecosystem.
